Who can resist the latest dish on best-selling pop star Britney Spears. From her rise to stardom in 1998, Britney has held our attention while releasing top-selling records and creating lots of grist for the tabloids and rumor mills.
This 27 year old U.S. native is a singer, song writer, actress and author, having sold 32 million albums in the U.S. alone. Her antics and relationships have received enormous press over the past few years. Sadly, in 2008 Britney’s behavior cost her custody of her two sons, Sean and Jayden, whose now famous Dad is Kevin Federline. Her repeated attempts at rehab have created an on-going saga that is watched closely by the media, her fans and her detractors around the world.
But for someone as gutsy as Britney Spears, her creativity will continue to entertain us and we’ll be watching for more surprises ahead.

Rare outing for Jacko in LA
It was a star-studded Friday night on May 23 at the 50th birthday celebration for fashion designer Christian Audigier. Michael Jackson, AKA Jacko, surprised everyone when he took the stage to give his birthday wishes to Audigier. Audigier told the elite crowd that he was pleased to present “The King of Pop”. In return Jackson quipped: “Christian is the king of fashion”.
Jackson did not perform at the festivities but then again he was partying with some heavy duty star dust: Britney Spears, Pam Anderson, Snoop Dogg and pop star Fergie were just a few of the who’s who at the party. Britney’s “date” was her father – translate chaperone required – as she appeared in her black mini party clothes. Britney and daddy Jamie hung out at the VIP booth and from all reports not only did Britney behave, she appeared happy as she posed for a few pictures. The rich and famous were treated to entertainment from Black Eyed Peas singer, Fergie and Macy Gray. Christian Audigier knows how to throw a party! The King of Pop and the Princess of Pop on the guest list!
Britney Spears Appears, Kills Self on South Park
Britney Spears’ role on How I Met Your Mother was not the only place she was seen on TV. The wayward vocalist also appeared on the animated cartoon show South Park – more or less.
In the episode on Wednesday, the Pop star runs away to South Park, Colorado, to get away from everything by going camping. Of course the papparazzi follows her there, and when the South Park boys creep into her place masquerading as Sean and Jayden they take a picture of her. She falls apart and blows off her own head with a shotgun.
The episode was basically saying that the papparazzi is slowly killing Britney Spears, which is something we realize
Britney Spears Car Accidents
Britney, where did you get your driver’s license - in a crackerjack box??
At last count, Britney Spears, the 'Gimme More' star has racked up three car accidents in the past two years, the latest happening on May 13, 2008 in Los Angeles. Driving her white Mercedes Benz, Britney managed to rear end the SUV in front of her while stopped at a red light. In this latest incident the female driver spoke with Britney’s bodyguard and the motor vehicle information was exchanged. The driver of the SUV then followed the pop star back to her home where we presume they were trying to “settle things up”. The paparazzi took photos of Britney as she sat in her car, looking somewhat aghast.
It was only in April of this year that Britney Spears rear ended a 2006 Nissan while in slow moving traffic on the Ventura Highway in Los Angeles. The Nissan then hit the car in front of it. The California Highway Patrol attended the scene but there were no injuries and no damage to the cars. The car Britney was driving was a white Mercedes Benz, her favorite model so it seems. Someone who witnessed the accident commented that it appeared Britney was distracted and simply drove ahead hitting the Nissan.
Last August, the 26 year old pop star escaped charges stemming from a hit and run incident in a parking lot. Apparently, Spears settled the matter with an undisclosed amount of money to the car's owner. And in October last year, Britney pleaded not guilty to yet another misdemeanor charge of driving without a valid driver's license. She did later obtain a temporary California license.
Who can forget the photos taken in 2006 of Britney driving with her small son in her lap! Spears admitted to making a “mistake”. Come on there Britney, hire a driver!
